As part of Stop Overdoses in PA week, nearly 80 locations across the state of Pennsylvania, including four Free Library locations in Philadelphia, will be offering free Narcan kits this Thursday, December 13th between 11am and 5:30pm, while supplies last. A free training is included, with no registration required.

Philadelphia locations

South Philadelphia Library– 1700 South Broad St. *Kits available until 2pm*

Lucien E. Blackwell Library– 152 S. 52nd St (West Philadelphia)

McPherson Square Library– 601 East Indiana Ave (Kensington)

Holmesburg Library– 7801 Frankford Ave (NE Philadelphia)

While the overdose reversal drug is available at pharmacies with no prescription necessary, access and affordability depends on your insurance coverage. If an insurance provider does not cover all or some of the cost, it can be prohibitive. Naloxone Giveaway Day events provides each participant with two FREE doses of Narcan at absolutely no cost, and with no personal information collected.
